Charlie Hamilton is an autistic woman with ADHD, who works as an autism coach, academic, and trainer in the U.K. She holds a masters degree in psychology and is a doctoral student researching neuro-inclusion at Lancaster University.
Her personal experience shapes her focus on autism in women and girls, and she is a fundraiser for the Autistic Girls Network. She also provides autism training to professionals working with children and young people with special educational needs and disability across the UK.
People tell Charlie that her autism and ADHD are not apparent, but that’s because she’s learned how to “play the game” after performing all day, every day for much of her life, she says.
