We are all united

Natascha
Natascha Ummels, an autism advocate from Belgium, is smiling into the camera.

Natascha is an activist in Belgium. She is part of EDC Fan, an all-volunteer group advocating for the widespread use of the European Disability Card.

This card promotes mutual recognition of disability across Europe and fosters accessibility for people with disabilities and their inclusion in society. It gives access to reduced rates when using public transport and preferential treatment at cultural, leisure and sports events and activities in Belgium, Cyprus, Estonia, Finland, Italy, Malta, Slovenia and Romania. By 2028, the card will be implemented in all EU member states.

Beyond the official scope of the card, the card can be useful in other situations to indicate one’s disability, for example in emergencies.

You can stay in touch with EDC Fan via Facebook, X, or LinkedIn.

"Everyone deserves a chance."
